The transactional gift-exchange: a morphogenetic analysis of unpaid internships

This paper combines the use of gift theory and metatheory Morphogenetic Approach as a framework for proposal that relationship between unpaid interns ‘employers’ may be conceptualized form transactional, but asymmetrical, gift-exchange. The article begins by applying insights from to findings range studies into internships.
